Tao Tien is a powerful place for those who seek the expansion of consciousness. We honor all religions and philosophies here and make them alive in our hearts and way of life. Our small community is situated on the top of a mountain in the Mantiqueira range, 100 km from São Paulo airport. There is rainforest, pasture and garden on the land, but it is the stunning view that invites to meditation and going inward.

People who come to us for retreat are welcome to participate in community life, including our “pujas” in the ecumenical temple twice a day, and working on the land. Silent and totally isolated retreat is also possible in our retreat hut in the rainforest.

We learn through talks, meditations, and the magic of the place itself.

Tao Tien was founded by Manuela Hollack Rezende. From a young age she had many mystical experiences, which she happily shares with everyone through stories and teachings, guided by the many teachings she receives from her non-human spiritual guide and master.
